Here's a 1950s classic with some extra goodies within. By those masters of mesh, WHITING AND DAVIS, this 6 ½" wide by 3 ½" long by ¾" deep "Oromesh" clutch purse is made of gold tone mesh and is lined with a ribbed, peach colored fabric. It has a spectacular clear rhinestone clasp and consists of a main compartment and a small inner pouch. It comes with its original hang tag, beveled edge and two sided mirror (still in the paper sleeve) and folding comb of gold tone metal/mesh and tortoise plastic. The comb is in good condition with several scratches to the gold tone metal and rubbing wear to some of the mesh and it measures 4" long by 1 1/8" wide when closed. The mirror is a "sandwich" of two mirrors and is in very good condition on both sides with only minor spotting here and there. The purse itself is in excellent condition…the lining is clean and looks unused and the mesh exterior shows no signs of wear. Always a classic and very collectible accessory.

This beautiful old bag is in need of some tender love and care and will be magnificent when rehabilitated. The exterior is entirely covered in glass seed beads in a multi-colored floral pattern that is different on each side and leaps off of a black background. The lining looks to be black silk over possibly cotton batting, with the beadwork done on a mesh. The floral patterns are both in very good condition while the rest of the bag is fair to good. Of the beaded loops at the bottom there is one loop missing on one end and another missing at the center. There is also some bead loss at the top edges and on either side near the top. It very likely had a metal frame that was removed, accounting for this damage. The lining is also separated from the beadwork on one side and aside from the stitching issues at the top, appears to be very good on the inside. It measures 8 ½" long (including the 1" loops at bottom) by 6 ¾" wide and is priced at $75.00

Made of satin in an off white shade (with just a hint of tan/pink), this bride's money bag (for the bride's/money dance tradition) has a white cord caging with simulated pearls (plastic) and white drawstrings and strap. It measures 7 ½" long by 6" wide and has a 5" diameter opening at the top. The carrying strap is approximately 45" in length. It is in excellent condition and does not appear to have been used more than once (if at all). A great accessory for that most special day.

Hand made in FRANCE, this wonderful little Art Deco clutch purse is also in need of restoration, but would be well worth the effort. Made of a ribbed black material (faille), it is accented with steel beads in intricate patterns on the front, back and along the sides. It has a main compartment with small inner pouch, a snap clasp and a carrying strap on the back. It measures 7 ½" wide by 4 ½" long and opens to about 3" deep. It is in fair to good vintage condition with some bead loss (small sections and single beads) and a small section of the lining needs to be reattached to one of the top inside corners. There is some soiling to the material though this is minor. The major issue is rust on much of the beadwork throughout. Priced accordingly at $40.00

Do not miss this glorious 1940s hand bag with magnificent jeweled frame. Made of floral pattern brocade with hints of silver, gold and faint pastels, it measures 8 ½" wide by 7" long by 1 ¾" deep. It is lined with off white satin and has a main inner compartment with side pouches on each side. It comes with its original mirror (beveled edge and backed with satin) and change purse, also of the same off white satin. While the overall package is splendid, this bag is all about the frame. Made of gold tone metal, it features ruby colored glass square cuts, bezel set and open backed/unfoiled, that are accompanied by glue set and bezel set clear rhinestones. The 10 ½" long gold tone metal chain is equally elegant. In very good vintage condition…the exterior is clean and lining is very good, with some small orange stains on one side, where the change purse has been kept. There is also a small repair to ½" of stitching on the left edge of the front of the bag. You will feel and look like royalty with this gorgeous bag! $195.00

A stitch here and there and a strand or two of beads and this 1920s flapper wrist bag will be ready again for a night on the town. It is made of a black knit material and adorned with blue-purple iridescent glass seed beads (think carnival glass in that shade and you will have it). At bottom these dangle in looped strands for an elegant fringe. It measures 6 ½" long by 5" wide and opens to roughly 2 ½" in diameter. The strap was not included in the previous measurements and is 12" long (from end to end) by 2" at its widest. It is in good condition with the following issues noted: The black silk lining will need to be restitched along most of the top edge and there is also a tear further down on one side that needs to be sewn together. It had a snap clasp at one time, though only one section of the clasp is still present. The top edge has some minor bead loss, though once the lining is reattached I don't believe this would be noticeable. There is however, one looped strand of beads missing that is obvious at the bottom section and will need to be replaced. The black knitted material is faded with age, though I wouldn't consider this a problem as when carried it is covered by the beaded fringe. If you enjoy working with these beaded beauties this one wouldn't take much to fix and is offered to you at $60.00

By COBLENTZ ORIGINAL, this great 1950s handbag is just the right size…small enough to be cute but big enough to be useful! It looks to be made of black leather with a stepped design and an elegant metal fold over clasps with pave swirling accents. It is lined with black satin and has a large pouch on either side (one of which is lined with gold satin) with an additional smaller pouch beneath it. It measures 7 ¼" wide at the bottom by 6" long by 2 ½" deep and has a strap that measures 14" from end to end (at the center it is 4 ¼" from the top of the purse). It is in very good vintage condition with a minor scuff or two to the outside (difficult to see because it is so shiny) and two very small dings to the inside leather on one side of the frame. A very fancy accompaniment.

PARK AVENUE INT. brings you this snazzy clutch purse with an equestrian theme, MADE IN THE USA of GENUINE LEATHER. The reddish-coral outside has a nice, soft feel and a gold tone pattern, of which I can make out a top hat, flourishes, and a weaving braid. The interior is lined with black ribbed fabric and has a large inner compartment and a 6" wide zippered pouch on one side. Concealed within is a 48" long, thin leather strap so it can be carried on the shoulder. It measures 12 ½" wide by 7 ¼" tall and has a 7" diameter circular opening. This *to die for* purse by WALBERG is a symphony of black and white seed beads on creamy glove leather. Each side is different and it combines the feeling of Art Deco and Native American design. By L.J. SIMONE, NEW YORK, this *fabulous* contemporary shoulder bag boasts the unbeatable look of studded black leather (?) and two strands of HEAVY gold tone metal straps. 9" wide by 8" high by 5" deep, it has a zippered interior side pouch, magnetic closure for the main pouch and is in very good, unused condition. There is some minor tarnish (I think of it as hard earned patina) on some of the studs…could probably be cleaned up if you prefer it that way. $85.00

Exceptionally lovely, this truly amazing 1920's beaded bag boasts a colorful cornucopia design on both sides…done entirely in seed beads. The interior is lined with a fuchsia/plum colored crepe material and has a single compartment with a small side pouch. The drawstring top has a dark sand colored, crocheted border with two tan rope-cord pulls/straps (each approximately 10" long when pulled tight). Measuring 9" high by 7" wide, it is in very good condition…the crepe lining does have a stain/fading at the top and there once was a fringe at the bottom of the bag. In my opinion neither of these detract from this fabulous treasure and you are certain not to run across many beaded bags of its caliber. $145.00
